Allographic’s founding aim, and continuing mission, is to platform the voices less heard, raising marginalised stories into mainstream view as much as possible.
Allographic hosts guest artists at regular open mics and [[special performances]], supported the Other Voices Spoken Word Cabaret at Edinburgh Fringe (intersectional feminist spoken word cabaret), and focuses mostly on publishing single author poetry collections by people of marginalised identities. Our recent print publications will all be available as ebooks as well. We are also looking to produce our first audiobook soon – watch this space!
We run a weekly writing group called the Write-In, which specialises in providing writing, editing, and development space for creatives, especially neurodivergent ones. We also run festival stages such as Wild Strawberries in Cambridge’s famous Strawberry Fair, collaborate with other organisations with matching ethos, and produce anthologies of poetry, short stories, and artwork. All our events, where possible, are run on a pay-as-you-feel basis, since our commitment to accessibility covers economic accessibility as well as other factors.
Allographic was founded in 2011 and is run by Fay Roberts.
